27. Celebrate my birthday (1/2)
45. Have a monthly date-night with Geoff (3/34)

Two weeks ago, +Geoff  and I went out for a date night to celebrate Valentine's Day and my birthday. It was a little early for my birthday, but we wanted to make sure that we would get to celebrate before the baby came (and good thing we did). We headed over to Club Car for some desserts. It was the first time we had ever been there, and we were shocked how crowded it was. The desserts were delicious, and it was great to have some grown-up time. It will probably be a while before we get another date night like that again.

45. Have a monthly date-night with Geoff (2/34)

I am way behind on this item, and it is only going to get harder in the next few months. +Geoffrey and I haven't been out on a date night since we were in the Bahama's, but this weekend we made it a point to go out. It was our fifth wedding anniversary, and while I had originally hoped to go away for the weekend, that plan has been postponed for now. So instead we headed out to a nice romantic fondue dinner, and it was great to get dressed up and spend some grown-up time just the two of us. Hopefully we'll get to do it again soon (maybe a Valentine's Day/birthday date), and we won't be interrupted by a little visitor.

28. Celebrate Geoff's birthday (1/3)
45. Have a monthly date-night with Geoff (1/34)

While we were in the Bahamas, it was Geoff's birthday. We had a special birthday dinner with the family and afterwards, we got a babysitter for Peter so that we could have a date night. Date night got cut short, but we did get to spend some time just the two of us, which was really nice.

45. Have a monthly date-night with Geoff (11/34)

At the end of October, Geoff and I had a date night to celebrate his birthday. We went to the new hibachi restaurant, and it was pretty good. Afterwards, we went to visit David for a drink. It was nice to get to be out just the two of us, and while there is no way that we'll be able to finish this item ("maternity leave" pushed us very far behind), I do want to keep going with it. I also wish that I had though to ask someone to take a picture of the two of us, but I guess that will just have to wait until November's date.

45. Have a monthly date-night with Geoff (10/34)

Date night. We had practically forgotten what that was, since in the past year they have been few and far between. This past Thursday, we stayed local just in case there was an issue that we need to run home for (sleep has not been kind recently). Next time, which hopefully won't be four months away, we are planning on going a little further and to a place we've never been before. But it was nice to get dressed up and not worry about if someone was going to be cranky and need to leave.

45. Have a monthly date-night with Geoff (9/34)

This past Thursday night, Geoff and I went  to try out the new wine bar in town. It is actually only the second time that we've gone out just the two of us in the past year. It was great to have some adult time, and nice to meet some new people.

I, of course, completely forgot to get a picture of the two of us while we were out, but here is a picture of me with our babysitter. She is quite a good deal, Peter pays her in hugs and kisses.

45. Have a monthly date-night with Geoff (8/34)

This past Saturday night, Geoff and I had an impromptu candlelit dinner as the power went out while we were having dinner at Turquoise. Since we figured that we wouldn't have power either (we didn't), we decided to make the most of the night and enjoy ourselves. We stayed at the restaurant for as long as we could (the power went out as they were serving our dinners), and we went home and spent some time together by candlelight. Having no power for the rest of the weekend (it didn't come on until early Monday morning) means that we didn't get the apartment completely set up (no power tools to finish what needs to be built), but it was nice to have that one evening to ourselves to relax.

45. Have a monthly date-night with Geoff (6/34)

On Saturday night, Geoff and I went to see the New York City Ballet's production of The Sleeping Beauty. The evening started out with a wonderful dinner at Josephina's before we headed over to the theatre. The show itself was amazing, and I am so glad that we were able to make it (and that we had something special to celebrate, since it probably wouldn't have happened otherwise). We both know that this was the last date night that we will have on this scale for a while, so I am so glad that it turned out as well as it did.

I was disappointed when I realized that I didn't have go to the ballet on my list, obviously an over site while I was making it. I guess that will just have to be something that I add to my next list (if I remember two years from now).

45. Have a monthly date-night with Geoff (1/34)

So last night Geoff and I went to dinner and a movie. It was nice to get out like that, since we don't do it very often. I wasn't the biggest fan of the movie, we saw District 9, but it was ok. It very much reminded me of Cloverfield, which I also wasn't the biggest fan of.

But yay for seeing a movie in an actual movie theatre.
